Probably one of my favorite shapes over mice I’ve tried the last few years. It’s a bit like a mix of the Superlight and Pulsar x2. I appreciate the software, although I would’ve liked to see some more functionality like having profiles auto-swap based on what game is running. The bottom is a bit of a dust/hair magnet, but totally fine if you use the included dust cover.
Awesome set of keycaps, looks cool on my jasper colored board. Like looking at a fall painting with some evergreens mixed in. I have never had a issue yet with ePBT keycaps
This was my first linear switch and it took me some time to get used to it since my previous switches have all been tactile (blues and box whites).
This switch's bottom out is quite heavy, but the top end is quite sensitive (This may be normal for linears but not sure). At first it caused a bit of mistypes but after a couple weeks I have started loving it. My new favourite switch and likely not going back to another anytime soon. The pre-lube is great and they're very thocky.
For reference, my hand's 19x9.5cm.
I've had my White&Black for a about two weeks now. First off, I like the look of it, despite not knowing anything about the anime. The build on mine is solid with no creaking, blemishes, or really anything I can find wrong with it.
While it's quite a bit bigger than my Beast X Mini, I'd still say it's best suited for small to medium sized hands. I can get a comfortable claw grip on it in a few different ways, though I prefer a relaxed claw and grip it that way most of the time. If you're looking to fingertip it I'd say go with the Mini unless you think you need the extra width. Palm grip's probably reserved for smaller hands, as I find mine are a bit too long to palm it without my fingers overhang the clicks too much for my liking. Oh, and if you're worried about the cheese grater sides, they're not something that bothered me at all. I can see it being a problem if you tend to grip pretty tightly and your finger(s) happen to fall in the wrong spot, though. The incldued grip tape might help with that (which I didn't use).
I can't really comment on the battery life as I tend to just plug it in every few days without bothering to check the battery percentage. I definitely enjoy the clicks; they feel about the same as my Mini with a slightly lower pitched sound. Very satisfying. Side buttons are also nice and crisp. The stock dot skates are also pretty good. I haven't felt the need to change them out yet. My only minor complaint here is with the scroll wheel, which is a little on the softer side. I like my scroll wheel to have a little more tactility. That's a personal preference thing, though, and doesn't really detract at all from my enjoyment of the mouse.
I've found it to be a great compliment to my Mini and is a nice change of pace when I feel like going claw instead of fingertip. If you're not able to get a Fabulous Beasts 8K before they're all gone, hopefully Deskhero will carry the standard Beast X 8K in the not too distant future.
That mouse is crazy the color is insane i just love this mouse sm
such a cool looking dongle, it's light and feels comfortable in the hand. clicks are nice, light, firm, and crisp. it'll be my main mouse for gaming. will probably get the fabulous beast x if either the purple or pink gets back in stock.
should have mentioned that it came with a set of glass skates already. It came chipped on the inside of the shell, its not performance breaking but there's just a small black dot chipped out (see pic with red circles).
Thankd for leavinh a review. We're so glad to hear that you're enjoying the BEAST X MINI! We apologize for the minor chips and have reached out to you regarding option available. We've sent you the extra Deskhero points and have entered you into the Review contest!
