VIDA is the culmination of several rounds of prototypes and community feedback, and we cannot wait to get it into your hands. The top and bottom case assembly is screwless via magnets, we are offering a ZMK powered wireless option, WK/WKL/HHKB will all be offered, and we've got something extra special planned for the Black Friday launch day.

Why is it priced the way it is?

Vida, like many of premium keyboards are made through small batch manufacturing. This means that due to the limited amount of keyboards that get made, prices end up being higher. This, combined with complex assembly found on lots of these boards and hand QC'ing in our stateside facility means we might not be able to offer prices as low as other options you see. We strongly feel the time and effort we put into our designs makes it worth it.

Quality Control Disclaimer

Some high end keyboards are shrink wrapped and/or packages are sealed. In this case Deskhero is unable to look at every keyboard for inspection and will defer to the original manufacturer Quality Control Guidelines.

Some keyboard kits would need to be put together by our staff and if possible, we will look at the keyboard specifically and determine if the keyboard falls into an "A- (Minus) or B Stock" classification.

A Stock

No blemishes, scratches, dents, markings on TOP and SIDE FACES greater than 1mm in diameter or length.
No blemishes, scratches, dents, markings from normal operating distance (~25cm to 30cm) in normal lighting

A- (Minus) Stock

There exists at least one blemish, scratch, dent, mark on SIDE FACE of the keyboard > 1mm on the SIDE FACE of the keyboard

B Stock

There exists at least one blemish, scratch, dent, mark on TOP FACE of the keyboard > 1mm on any of the SIDE FACES of the keyboard

Notes

Internal marks, blemishes, scratches, dents are not counted towards grade classification, unless it impedes functionality or is visible once the keyboard is fully built from normal operating distance under normal lighting conditions.

Mounting Style

VIDA uses a unique version of bottom mount that utilizes poron dampeners and nylon alignment pins. The plate screws into the bottom case, and the top case is connected to the bottom through integrated magnets that are automatically aligned thanks to the alignment pins.

Elegantly Designed

VIDA combines form and function with it's stunning side profile, and seamlessly integrated USB hub. When wired, you can connect USB devices to save some desk space and reduce clutter.

Wireless Enabled

VIDA is designed with wireless in mind. Opt for the wireless kit to receive a ZMK powered PCB and battery that slots into the bottom case. Alternatively, you can choose a standard wired PCB. To learn more about ZMK, check out our recent blogpost.
